Beyond the Cracks - Co-Creating Our Pluriverse (Hospicing Modernity):Book Circle by Ntulea Journeys
Deadline:30 Apr 2026 • 42 days left
About Campaign
We are not raising money for a book club. We are seeding an ecosystem.
When we began this journey to "hospice modernity," we asked: how do we move beyond the very systems we critique? This means rejecting transactional models and building one rooted in relationality, access, and intergenerational healing.
This campaign is a Seed Fund designed to nurture multiple, interconnected shoots emerging from the same soil. Your support doesn't just cover costs; it actively weaves a new fabric of possibility in the following ways:
1. Nurturing the Container: Grounded, In-Person Experiences
Your contribution directly supports the logistics of our in-person sessions - a safe, nourishing physical space, tea, and materials. More than that, it allows us to curate place-based experiences, whether that’s a session held in a community garden or a walk in a public park, helping us reconnect learning to the land itself.
2. Honoring Wisdom: Intergenerational Bridge-Building
A core part of hospicing is listening to the voices modernity has silenced. Funds will be used to honorarily support invited speakers - particularly local elders, indigenous knowledge keepers, and community figures - who grace our circle (both in-person and virtual). This creates a vital intergenerational bridge, ensuring learning is not just intellectual, but deeply relational and experienced.
3. Radical Access: The Community Mobile Book Clinic
To hospice a system built on exclusion, we must practice radical inclusion. A portion of every donation will fund the "Community Mobile Book Clinic," providing access to reading materials and storytelling for communities who lack them. This plants the seeds of curiosity and critical thinking in the next generation, turning a book club into a wider circle of literacy and imagination.
4. Removing Barriers: Subsidized Participation
Modernity creates barriers; we are called to dismantle them. This fund will subsidize participation for those who cannot afford the book or travel to the in-person location. It ensures that this crucial conversation includes diverse voices, especially those from marginalized communities whose insights are most vital.
5. Spreading the Practice: Catalyzing Future Spaces
Finally, this seed fund will not end with this circle. It will enable us to document our process, create open-source resources, and support the launch of future "hospicing" spaces led by others in our community. Your support helps this work replicate and adapt, creating a ripple effect of held spaces across our context.
Your Contribution Weaves A New Pattern

* A Literacy Justice Advocate, putting books in the hands of communities.
* A Barrier Breaker, ensuring economic status doesn't dictate access to transformation.
* A Seed Planter, helping this relational model take root and spread.
